FSC Academy Soccer - CLOSED

Learning should be done through practice. In order to work effectively with young players at FSC, the coach must create an environment in which the talent can flourish. The coaching staff at FSC work together as a team to come up with ideas that are all geared towards the soccer player. A young player who is made to feel confident, capable and trusted to be creative, will have a greater chance of fulfilling their potential than one who feels afraid to fully express themselves.

We want players to pursue soccer at any performance level. The relationship between the coach and player is of significant importance. The ability of a coach to establish a rapport with the players will accelerate the learning process. We will be adaptable and flexible in our coaching methods, changing according to needs of the individual player. Players do not have to play every position. We will put them in positions where we think they can thrive but also a position that can help the team. If they believe they are contributing to the team, they will feel part of what we are striving for.

Our goal is to develop well rounded children who will understand:

  • Fair play - Character
  • Work ethic - Speed and mobility
  • Discipline - Courage and bravery
  • Teamwork - Knowledge and awareness
  • How to win - Technical and tactical awareness
  • How to lose - Mental toughness
  • Enjoyment - It's proven, kids who have fun in soccer, try harder, perform better and stay involved longer.

We are also here to win, but not at the expense of life lessons.

Winning is without value, if victory has been achieved unfairly or dishonestly.
