About the club |
General information The Foothills Soccer Club is a non-profit youth organization located in Southwest Portland, Oregon. Last fall we registered 42 teams and over 500 players. We are a member of the Portland Youth Soccer Association and the Oregon Youth Soccer Association. Our membership comes primarily from the attendance areas of Hayhurst, Maplewood and Mary Rieke elementary schools and Robert Gray Middle School. Private schools within our club area include St. John Fisher, the Portland French School, Portland Jewish Academy, West Hills Montessori and West Hills Christian. A player does not have to live within this area to play in our club. All boys and girls, kindergarten through 8th grade, are eligible to play. We form both boys' and girls' teams at each grade level, except for kindergarten which is co-ed. Foothills is a recreational club that promotes fun, good sportsmanship and the development of each child as a soccer player and team member. We believe that the purpose of recreational soccer is to provide all players with a rewarding and enjoyable soccer experience. Come and join the fun! Board of directors The list below shows the volunteers holding positions on the Foothills Soccer Club board of directors for the 2007 season. Note that there are a number of open positions — additional help on the board is always welcome. Please call us at 503-672-9264 x452 if you can volunteer even a few hours.
